I am a military veteran and have been practicing marriage and family therapy for 35 years. It seems to me that many couples experience relationship problems that, at the time, seem unsolvable. It also seems to me that way too many of these couples end up divorced. I am convinced that many of these marriages could have and should have been saved. I firmly believe that two people committed to building a loving and fulfilling marital relationship can learn to do so.
Couples owe it to themselves, their children, their extended families, and society to step away from the brink and give their marriage every possible chance. My goal is to get in the marital boat with these couples and help them stay afloat. But, my ultimate goal is really more than that. With hard work and compassionate guidance they can do much more than simply stay afloat, they can begin to build a loving and mutually satisfying marriage that lasts a lifetime.
While not the best therapeutic outcome, divorce does happen. I take a compassionate approach in guiding clients & children toward healing.
