I have 22 years experience as a licensed psychologist specializing in marriage and family therapy, and have extensive training and skills in these areas. I am a general psychologist, but my strongest calling is to work with married and unmarried couples. Married for 28 years myself, I am passionate about helping couples to repair, rebuild, remake, and/or rejuvenate their marriages. I believe that as goes the marriage, so goes the children, family, relatives, community, nations, and world. I also believe that a strong marriage involves two healthy selves, and that families need clear interpersonal boundaries, both on the inside and outside. There is no question about my bias toward preserving as opposed to ending marriages, unless there is a compelling reason for divorce, e.g. ongoing, unreported, and/or untreated spousal or child abuse, addicted partner unwilling to get help, one or both spouses unwilling to work on the marriage. As a marriage-friendly therapist, as long as both spouses are willing to work hard, stick with it for as long as it takes, be willing to change, and believe they can have a satisfying marriage, I will absolutely never give up, and remain determined to help them succeed.
