I am never more delighted than when the couple in a divorce crisis discover that their pain was merely the birth pangs of the sort of marriage both wanted, or when the individual who was hurting and at wits end learns how to handle the stresses and make a new beginning.

I do not try to encapsule my clients in some theoretical approach, but seek to meet the individual in front of me and to develop a therapy that meets his, hers or their unique needs. This personalistic approach means that we usually making progress from the very first session.

As a combat veteran, I know firsthand about stress.
