I provide therapy for children, adolescents, individuals, elders, couples, and families. I work from a strength-based, solution-focused, and systemic or relational orientation. I also include family play therapy and child-centered play therapy techniques into my practice. In addition, I provide personality, relationship (couple) and career assessments.
As your Couples and Marriage Counselor, I will help you both to focus on your strengths and possibilities while addressing their real life difficulties. I provide a wide variety of evidence-based treatment approaches. Which means that all the therapy that I implement is highly researched and therefore, proven to work if followed correctly. I believe in a holistic approach to the therapeutic process that incorporates biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions empowering a person or family towards mastering life to its fullest.
I was born and raised in Lake Forest, Illinois. I received my bachelor degrees in Psychology and Fine Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and With Distinction in 2004. I was invited and initiated into Phi Beta Kappa (Academic Honor Society) in 2003 and Psi Chi (The International Honor Society in Psychology) in 2002. I hold a PhD in Counseling and I received my clinical Master’s of Science degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University Medical Center, which is a COAMFTE-accredited program (Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education), where I graduated with a 4.0 GPA in 2008.
At the first session, we will discuss what the fee will be for the rest of treatment. Depending on availability and need, I will accept some clients on a sliding scale. My fee is collected at the time of service, however, I will help submit insurance for client reimbursement. I will also provide discounted rates for program packages. All credit cards are accepted.
