When people make a commitment to each other, they do it with love and hope and optimism. We welcome the comfort and the joy of being a couple, but few of us are prepared for all the other challenges that may come. I believe all marriages that last have many phases (some very difficult or painful) and many opportunities to work deeply on our relationships and our Selves. Usually the differences and struggles that develop are important clues to what you must attend to, so you can create positive changes and grow together. Couples therapy is a place to learn about your self, your partner, conflict and negotiation, responsibility, emotions and self-regulation, awareness and compassion, communication, creating and maintaining intimacy, and more.
