As a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist (IRT)I specialize in saving, repairing, enhancing and deepening committed relationships, and I prepare singles to find their "relationship of a lifetime." I am passionate about this work because my husband and I were once in trouble ourselves, until we attended an IRT Couples Workshop, where we came to understand the higher purpose of long-term committed relationships. I strongly believe: that we are born in relationship, are wounded (hurt) in relationship, and need to heal in relationship; that the relationship you are in has the potential to help you heal, if you are given the skills with which to make the necessary repair; that the natural dance of relationships is repeated cycles of connection, rupture, disconnection, repair and reconnection; that if you leave your current relationship for another you will, most likely, end up "dancing the same dance with a different partner!"; that what you are most frustrated with in your partner offers you the best opportunity for personal growth; and that the two of you must create a safe space, free of criticism, attacks, defensiveness, and contempt, where you can connect deeply to dissolve your problems.
