I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been in private practice in Encino, California for over 20 years. Many of my clients come to me because they have heard from others that my work focuses on the improvement of committed interpersonal relationships.

I help people to seek solutions and reach their goals as quickly as possible. I use homework assignments, including books (bibliotherapy) and films (cinematherapy) to maximize and expedite their time in therapy.

My values-based philosophy influences all of my work. This is made particularly clear to clients when supporting the institution of marriage and dealing with the struggles that are inherent to marriage and family stability. I work with my clients to do as much as possible to keep and improve marriages, especially when children are involved, unless it is harmful to any of the individuals.

Another very important part of my commitment to marriage and family is my work as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University where I have the on-going opportunity to teach the next generation of marriage and family therapists.
