My practice is entirely focused on a systemic approach to individual, couples and family therapy. Although my practice includes individuals, my method of practice still focuses on relationships and how they contribute to (or detract from) ones overall wellbeing. I particularly enjoy working with couples and recognise the value of a strong committed long-term relationship. If a marriage (or partnership) is distressed, often the entire foundation of ones life can be threatened, thus rocking the security of your children, causing anxiety and depression and/or interferring with work/school productivity. I am continually studying with leaders in the field of marriage and family therapy and am currently working towards certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy with Sue Johnson. I am also trained in sex therapy, sand-tray therapy and the use of EMDR for trauma. I try to be especially sensitive to my client's desires to integrate their spiritual values into our work together and approach therapy as a partnership. I've found that it is common for one spouse to be reluctant to attend therapy and have found that this concern normally is dispelled after our first meeting together. I look forward to having the opportunity to discuss your specific needs personally.
