There has never been a time that has put as much pressure on marriages as is currently happening. Far away from family support, 2 career marriage plus children are pushing marriages to a breaking point. Perhaps the hopes, dreams, and sense of partnership seems like a distant memory. I believe with some work and focusing on success you can have not only a better marriage but a good one. Marriage brings us the best of times but it can also bring us the worst of times. But hope is available. You and your partner can make your marriage what you want and need it to be. I work with couples to help them restore their relationship as they rebuild safety, trust, intimacy, joy and pleasure. I believe through investing in the work of marriage we can find the happiness that has eluded us.

Pre-marriage counseling can be a great opportunity for couples. I have helped couples look at their family relationship history in order to help them understand what they might have inherited from their the previous generations. As couples gain clarity of how issues of conflict, money, religion or dealing with difficult family members or other issue were handled in their family of origin they can choose to make informed decisions in their new family. I offer the PREPARE/ENRICH Inventory as well as the RELATE Inventory.

I also work with couples who are Christians and who want those values incorporated into their marriage.

Additionally, I work with couples and families experiencing life with multi-generations living under the same roof. Extended-family arrangements can be challenging and, yet, very rewarding. To learn more, visit my website at www.lizgentryma.com
