Located 25 minutes south of Madison, WI, Nature Haven Counseling is a place of calm surrounded by ponds and woods, located 25 minutes south of Madison, Wisconsin. Here, you will find a client-friendly welcome--professional, low stress, and relaxed. For almost 30 years, I have worked with couples in injured relationships. Usually, no matter how severe the problem, they don't really want to end the marriage--only the pain of it. I work on that principle, taking a practical, no-blame approach, focusing on solutions through understanding, personal strengths, and change. Couples learn to take into account each other's male/female differences and to speak and act with compassion and appreciation. Though the work takes energy and focus, it's rarely dull, and humor is often our good and irresistible friend. The length of therapy usually runs between one and ten sessions, depending on the complexity and the couple's willingness to change. Like cooks, we know when the cake is done. Surmounting challenges gives relationships new strength and well-earned satisfaction. Therefore, we work together optimistically, knowing that most marriages can surpass survival; they can recapture and deepen love. SPECIAL FEATURE! We offer intensive day and weekend formats for couples or families needing intensive therapy. For photos and more information, please visit my website at www.naturehavencounseling.net.
