I have practiced marriage therapy for nearly twenty years and am convinced that nearly all marriages are worth fighting for. Our "disposable" culture makes it hard for couples to maintain life long intimate connections. I believe that most couples can succeed if they make saving their marriage their highest priority. As a therapist, I work with people to help maximize strengths and overcome barriers in their relationship. I help both partners understand what they bring into the relationship and how this baggage contributes to the problem. This frees them to take personal action to make things better, instead of trying to make the other person change. We often laugh and cry together in the therapeutic process.
