Thank you for contacting me regarding your marriage or couple relationship. I understand that this is a very personal and private relationship. You may be reaching out for help because of feeling alone, disconnected, or stuck. There may be infidelity or violence in the relationship. You might be experiencing problems with your communication and a lack of intimacy. I have worked with married couples for over 25 years. I have been married for 30 years and have two adult children. My approach to couples therapy is to first listen to both partners to develop mutual goals that we can work on together. I use a positive and respectful solution oriented approach to assist you in resolving your problems. If you wish to address spiritual concerns, we can do that as well. I will give you things to do and/or read in between sessions that we will discuss at each visit. The focus will be on how you think about marriage and what you do to connect in a positive way. I believe that most marriages are resilient and couples can work through even the most difficult of conflicts. You can move from feeling stuck to experiencing positive passion.
