Next Steps

Before you can start getting clients sent to you, we'll need you to update your profile. Follow the steps below to get everything set up - it takes 10-15 minutes and is very important to the success of your profile!


Step 1: Update Your Contact Details

The first step for updating your profile is adding your contact information, including:

  • First and Last Name
  • Practice Phone Number
  • Your Practice Name & Address
  • Your Practice's website & social media links
  • Additional professional information


Step 2: Upload a Profile Photo

One of the most important aspects of your profile is your photo. Make sure the profile is professional and that it isn't blurry!


Step 3: Add Your Listing Details

In the listings details, you can update the following information:

  • Categories you specialize in (very important to fill out!)
  • License information
  • Your education


Step 4: Update Your "About Me" Details

This is what the couples will see as an introduction to you and your services. We suggest that you consider addressing some or all of the following subjects:

  • The importance of a healthy relationship,
  • How you understand the typical issues that couples face
  • How you approach those issues or couples work in general
  • How do you feel about doing couples work
  • Experience & special training in couples work
  • Successes that you have seen in doing couples work,
  • Can you provide any hope that a relationship can improve with therapy sessions
  • Particular areas of specialty in couples work

We suggest that you leave education and work with individuals towards the end of your profile statement. End your statement with some type of call to action that encourages the reader to call or email you.


Step 5: Add Your Service Areas

Your office address automatically creates a 25 mile radius in which you will show up when any search is done using our standard search bar. If you want to show up in any searches beyond that 25 mile radius then you can input an additional city name as a service area and you will then show up in searches that are done within a 25 mile radius of that city also. The service areas are mostly beneficial to therapists in rural areas or for telehealth outreach beyond your local area. For telehealth outreach it is most productive to input large, densely populated cities so that your profile is exposed to larger numbers of people within that 25 mile radius. Example: my office is in Anaheim, CA and I might input San Diego and Los Angeles as my additional service areas. Pro Tip: Choose cities that are at least 30 miles away from your office location as your service areas.
