I utilize Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and systems thinking as my lens for understanding a couples patterns and helping to see sustainable change. This means that I work to help couples uncover the attachment and emotional issues underlying the arguments arising. Even though you might be arguing about the "dishes and laundry" type stuff of life, your conflict is often rooted in much deeper themes. I have seen couples therapy transform relationships and marriages, often each partner finding significant growth as an individual as well as growth together as a couple. I find my work invigorating and rewarding watching couples rediscover the reasons they began their relationships in the first place. I believe that healthy relationships are a key component of a happy life. I also excel at working with couples who have undergone significant hardship, such as those navigating trauma, loss, chronic health conditions, and sudden life transitions.
