About  Jonathan Zalesne

Many Couples Struggle With Their Relationships, Couples Therapy Can Help You Both Repair And Reconnect.

Does it feel like the love and deep connection that once defined your relationship has given way to anger, blame, hurt, and painful conflict? Perhaps you have been fighting too much or, alternatively, not communicating at all. Are you afraid that your partner no longer loves you, is not concerned with your feelings or needs, or would rather be doing anything other than spending time with you?

Relationships can be hard work, and maintaining them long-term – even those with the strongest of foundations – can sometimes feel like an overwhelming load that you may not be sure that you still want to carry. Life brings unexpected twists and turns that can be tricky to navigate both on your own and with your partner

Your relationship may have shifted from feeling close and romantic to feeling hectic and hard. But, the shift is reversible. In fact, with help, some couples find that they can make their relationship stronger than it was before. I help couples address and work through issues surrounding:

  • Infidelity
  • Intimacy
  • Communication
  • Jealousy & Mistrust
  • Child-Parent Conflict
  • Financial Stress
  • Addiction within the Relationship and/or Family

My Approach using Emotionally Focused Therapy:

I will, in a non-judgmental compassionate manner, help you learn a more authentic way of communicating that can result in increased intimacy and stronger bonds that continue improving well beyond the end of therapy. My method of couples treatment is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). A short term structured approach to couples therapy, EFT is extensively researched with studies showing 70% to 75% of couples move from distress to recovery, often accompanied by decreased symptoms of other mental health issues such as depression and PTSD.

I welcome traditional and non-traditional couples and will never give up on your relationship. I will work to help you create a partnership in which you can be your true authentic selves. Many people can’t even imagine what that would be like in a marriage or partnership. But it really is possible. And it feels incredible.

Appointments are also available at my Denver office located at 3600 South Yosemite Street, Suite 1050.

I hope to hear from you soon,

Jonathan Zalesne
