One mark of a healthy marriage is a climate of acceptance and appreciation. Another mark is staying friends and being on the same team. You get there by having heart-to-heart conversations where you stay connected and solve problems. And you get there by learning healthy marriage perspectives and practicing skills to mend brokenness in each of you and your relationship, to give each other space, and find “our” way (rather than “my” way or “your” way).
I have been working with married couples, families, and individuals for over 45 years. If you decide to come, I will walk alongside you while you do the work outlined above. You will have conversations you always wanted to have. You will begin to enjoy each other more, picture each other more accurately, and share your hearts and faith more openly.
My wife and I have been married 52 years. We have 3 married children and 9 grandchildren, one of whom died at birth. Some of my favorite sayings are: The person is more important than the problem. – Everyone walks through life a little differently. – Maybe you’re right.
