I have been a pre-marital and marriage counselor/educator for thirty years. I love my work because I strongly believe in our human need for lasting, meaningful partnerships and connections. Marriage offers a dynamic opportunity for personal growth. In fact, I believe that even conflict, depending on how it is managed, can help strengthen your relationship over the long term.
I begin with this premise: emotional connection is the most important element of a good marriage. My goal is to help a couple regenerate that connection. I actively teach you how to stop negative interactions, meet each other’s emotional needs and be with one another in a more positive nurturing way.
One of my favorite poets, Rainer Maria Rilke wrote: “Love . . . consists in this, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other.” I am actively committed to helping couples restore and sustain that kind of mutually nurturing love.
